Flat strip in – finished product out. It doesn’t have to be harder than that to pass the finish line quickly, smoothly and without time and logistics inhibiting detours. Roll forming gives you endless possibilities to get a finished profile without having to detour around pipes and post-production. In one process, the profile can be formed, punched, laser-welded and partly assembled. You only need to choose the steel grade that best suits your product. We take care of the rest.
In 2020 we started implementing the LEAN method, in order to streamline our production process and thereby eliminate all factors that do not create value for our customers. With the introduction of LEAN at Bendiro, focus has been on factors such as changeover times and utilisation rates, as well as identifying and following up on performance indicators for availability, plant utilisation and quality. Production is of course at the centre of the work, but the methodology also includes other parts of the company, including administration and sales. All our employees are trained in LEAN.
To support our new way of working, we have expanded and redesigned the flow layout in the factory, and invested in new technology and machines, including a test and setup machine that releases valuable capacity in our online machines.

The most common materials used are cold and hot rolled steel, stainless steel, aluminium, titanium and nickel. Surface-treated materials, which are galvanized and powder coated and also highly-polished nickel-plating, for instance, can be used in roll forming due to the gentle processing method.
High-strength and ultra-high-strength steels (UHS, UHSS) and advanced high-strength steel (AHSS) are gaining increasing prominence in the roll forming industry, since they make it possible to produce products from much thinner stock. Consequently, the finished product will be lighter yet still have the same strength. The use of high strength materials also means a reduced environmental impact through a minimal use of materials.

Roll forming looks simple, but is an advanced production technique where profiles are produced through step by step folding. The input material for roll forming passes a series of shaft pairs with consecutive form changing tools.
Roll forming is a progressive choice for the future in terms of design opportunities, environmental benefits and overall economical advantages. Below we have listed a number of advantages to consider when choosing a production method.
Capable of integrated operations and is almost entirely length independent.
Rational, large capacity manufacture method with high material utilisation (more than 95%). Ideal production method for weight-efficient designs.
Efficient/profitable production method in large and small series with specialised cross sections.
Enable advanced profile shapes with high repetition accuracy. We have up to 48 forming stages in our rollforming lines.
As the roll forming takes place by cold rolling, it requires minimal energy and is gentle on the material, which also means minimal tool wear. Roll forming also has few discards, material that is discarded is recycled and turned into new material.
Roll forming provides an attractive total cost thanks to integrated operations and the use of materials without subsequent surface treatment.
