When the company began work on a new product concept called Framery One, they contacted Bendiro – a contact that led to an exciting and mutually rewarding partnership.

“The first time we heard of Bendiro was via a colleague, who used to work with Bendiro in another sector. We came into contact with Bendiro at the end of 2019, and they began drawing the profiles for our new product, Framery One. We visited Bendiro in Falkenberg in early 2020, but then Covid-19 happened and the whole collaboration had to go digital, right up to the finished product stage.”
Roll forming a new technique for Framery

Advanced model image
“We have extremely high demands on every detail in our products being carefully thought out and perfect, to assure everything from usability and acoustics to aesthetics and sustainability. After seeing what Bendiro had to offer in terms of know-how and technology, it was clear that they should be able to meet our demands, which included the advanced model image that our profiles needed”.

Profiles in the pod
Bendiro produces two different profiles to Framery One. The profiles have a sophisticated hole pattern, and at the suggestion of Bendiro, Framery could reduce the material thickness by using a high-strength steel. These high-strength frames are used in assemblies that provide structural integrity for the pod and are also a prominent aesthetical element in the end product.”
Valuable input
“The roll-formed profile was designed simultaneously with a cast aluminium detail. This was to ensure that the design of both components worked well together, and that the finished construction would work as intended. The design work was done in close collaboration with Bendiro, from idea to finished design down to the detail level. Bendiro were also able to help us with the casting of the aluminium detail, which was of huge value to the overall process.”

Clear, efficient communication has been a key element of our collaboration from first sketch to finished product. Despite the extra obstacles brought about by the pandemic, we were able to successfully develop the product and launch it as planned. The public reception to our Framery One product has been outstanding, and we now continue working with Bendiro to meet growing demand from the market.”
