In conjunction with the expansion of our production and new production flow, we have also invested in new measuring technology, as well as a completely new measuring room. The new technology, in the form of an articulated arm, enables us to laser scan the profiles, either in our measuring room or at the machine, which is advantageous when we produce long profiles.
With our existing measuring equipment, we automatically measure profiles according to preset measurement values. We primarily use this technology when checking the profiles we produce in large volumes. We measure initially, and then continuously during the production process, to avoid deviations, ensure repeatability, and thereby maintain a high and consistent quality throughout the entire chain. With our new test and setup machine, we have the ability to take the initial measurements before the profile goes into regular production, which gives us great advantages in our objective of having as short a downtime as possible for our online machines.
During the coming year, we will invest in additional mobile measuring technology.
